Sancal started out manufacturing classic, French Style chairs. Four decades on, we decided to revisit our origins and borrow from the past. The Swedish design Studio Note cleverly reinterpreted our Marie Antoinette-style vanity chair. Spanish wine barrels provided the inspiration for the straight line quilting that runs down the outside of the piece, like staves,though to the cage base. It proved to be a hit and,by popular demand, new versions were added tothe family, with Tonella Maxi lounge chair being thelatest, with slightly larger dimensions than the original lounge chair.
